- DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM
- ________________________________________________________
-
- MATH GAMES is a SHAREWARE program. This means that you may
- copy it and give it to friends, and that user groups and
- bulletin boards may distribute it (as long as no files have
- been altered). This gives you a chance to try the program
- without having to spend a lot of money up front for
- something that may not meet your needs. If MATH GAMES is
- useful to you, please become a registered user by sending in
- the registration form. You become a registered user by
- paying the registration fee directly to TexaSoft. Thank you.
-
- MATH GAMES is a game to help you practice addition,
- subtraction, and multiplication. The game displays a math
- problem on the screen, then you must type the answer in an
- allotted amount of time.
-
- The game pits your country against an opponent. Each time
- you type an answer correctly, your team wins a point. If you
- make a mistake, your opponent gains a point. A board
- containing nine flags must be filled for one team to win.
-
- MATH GAMES requires CGA graphics, which mean that it will
- run on most composite graphics, CGA, RGB, EGA, PGA, MCGA and
- VGA type monitors. It will not work on "Hercules" type
- monochrome graphics monitors unless you are using a CGA
- simulator such as SIMCGA or HGCIBM.
-
- When you begin MATH GAMES, you will choose your country
- (your team), and your opponent. Next, you will choose the
- level of difficulty of phrases to type. Typically, your
- choices will be:

- 7) Multiply 2 numbers, on 2 digit
- 8) Multiple 2 numbers up to 2 digits.
-
- The program will display a phrase on the screen and a
- timer will appear in the upper right corner. You must type
- the answer correctly before the timer gets to 0.
-
- If you do not type in the answer correctly in the allotted
- time, your opponent gets the point. The scoreboard on the
- screen will keep track of who is winning. Remember, it
- takes 9 points (flags) to win.
